Testes and Scrotum Scan
Sonoclinic provides testes and scrotum scan services to help evaluate the testes and structures within the scrotum. It includes an examination of both superficial and deeper tissues of the scrotum, testes, epididymis (tube linked to the testis), and spermatic cord.
This scan is available for individuals aged 16 and older and is conducted by an experienced sonographer who has experience with diagnostic imaging. It also helps determine the cause of pain, lumps or swelling in the scrotum.
Purpose of the Scan
Testes and scrotum scans can assist in identifying conditions such as:
- Epididymal cysts
- Scrotal hernias
- Varicoceles (enlarged veins)
- Hydrocoeles (fluid build-up)
- Unexplained swelling or testicular masses
What to Expect
During the scan, your trousers and underclothes must be lowered in order to expose the scrotal region. A covering will be used to shield everything except the region being scanned. If possible, you can wear a two-piece outfit to make it easy to access the area.

You will receive an in-depth written report with your results and recommended next actions. Also, physical copies of images as well as a diagnostic report will be provided during your appointment.
