Preparing for Your Scan
If you are currently receiving medical care, consult your healthcare provider before undergoing this scan. Also, for a smooth process and accurate results, you should do the following:
- Refrain from eating for 8 hours before your scan. Clear fluids, black tea, and black coffee are allowed.
- If you have diabetes, continue eating as needed, but don’t consume dairy and fatty foods.
Come dressed in a two-piece outfit (such as trousers or a skirt and a top) to allow easy access to your abdomen.
