4D Bonding Scan (24-34 Weeks)
Our 4D Bonding Ultrasound at Sonoclinic offers a unique opportunity to see your baby in motion. This scan is designed to give cherished memories as well as an easy well-being check to monitor progress. Conducted by experienced sonographers, this scan is available between 24 and 34 weeks. It includes:
- 15-minute diagnostic session. This time frame allows for check-in, scanning, looking at images (if time permits), and responding to any questions you may have.
- Baby’s well-being assessment. We check the baby’s heartbeat. Our team will guide you if any unexpected findings arise.
- Optional gender confirmation (if requested)
- Black-and-white ultrasound prints
- Written diagnostic report including estimated baby’s weight
Although the scan can be performed at 24 to 34 weeks, we advise booking before 32 weeks for the best clarity, as the baby’s position and the level of amniotic fluid affect visibility. For those expecting twins or multiples, this scan is recommended between 22 and 26 weeks.
The quality of images depends on your child’s position. We may offer a complimentary rescan if clear images cannot be obtained. We will provide alternatives if a rescan is impossible (probably because of gestation).
A detailed written report of the outcomes will be provided, along with printed images and a diagnostic summary.
How to Prepare for Your Scan
We recommend that you come dressed in a two-piece outfit, such as a top with trousers or a skirt, to allow easy access to the abdomen. You may also come with at least five guests to your appointment.
