QuickASSURE™ Scan (12 - 24 Weeks)

The quickASSURE™ scan is a specialised ultrasound service we offer at Sonoclinic. The purpose of this scan is to reassure expectant parents regarding the development of pregnancy between 12 and 24 weeks. This scan confirms the baby’s heartbeat and movements in order to ensure that the pregnancy is developing as expected.

Key features of the quickASSURE™ scan include:

• Duration: A 10-minute diagnostic appointment, encompassing arrival, the scan itself as well as an opportunity to consult with the sonographer.
• Wellbeing check: This involves assessing the baby’s heartbeat. The sonographer will provide appropriate guidance if any unexpected findings arise during this routine check.
• Documentation: Print images and a detailed diagnostic report summarising the scan results are provided.

This scan is only intended for reassurance. Thus, is not suitable for individuals experiencing symptoms such as bleeding, pelvic pain, or other complications.

Once the scan is complete, we will provide a clear, written report detailing the results and any recommended next steps.

Preparation for Your Scan

To ensure the best possible imaging, follow these guidelines:

• Drink plenty of water or clear fluids before your appointment, and don’t pee to ensure a clearer view.
• Put on a two-piece of clothing such as a top with trousers or a skirt for easy abdomen access.
