Our Specialist Breast Consultation combines a professional clinical examination with a tailored discussion about your health, risk factors, and next steps.
Each appointment includes both breast and armpit (axilla) assessment to ensure a complete evaluation.
Your Consultation Includes:
You’ll meet with a Breast Specialist Doctor who will examine, advise, and explain your results during your visit.
Book directly with Sono Clinic — no GP referral necessary. Get expert advice fast and without waiting lists.
You’ll receive a detailed explanation of your findings and, if needed, same-day imaging or onward referral.
A complete medical report of your consultation and recommendations is emailed securely to you.
If required, we can perform a same-day breast ultrasound for further clarity and diagnostic precision.
Your specialist will take a detailed medical history, review risk factors, and examine your breasts and armpits. They’ll discuss any findings immediately and outline next steps, such as imaging, follow-up, or reassurance if no concerns are found.
You should book a consultation if you notice:
Early assessment ensures the best outcome — even minor changes deserve attention.
Breast lumps vary in size and texture. Some are soft, smooth, or mobile; others may feel firm or fixed.
While most lumps are benign (such as cysts or fibroadenomas), all new lumps should be professionally examined to rule out cancer or other causes.
If you notice any new or persistent change in your breasts, you should seek assessment promptly.
Women aged 50–71 are advised to undergo screening every three years, but earlier or more frequent review is recommended if you have a family history of breast cancer.
Your consultation and optional ultrasound can identify:
Yes — although rare, men can develop breast cancer. If you notice a lump or nipple change, you should book a consultation for examination and, if needed, imaging.
No preparation is necessary. Wear two-piece clothing for comfort, and you’ll be given privacy to undress from the waist up.
Avoid applying creams or powders to the chest area before your visit.
If your specialist identifies any abnormality, they’ll discuss the findings in full and guide you through next steps — including ultrasound, biopsy, or referral to a breast surgeon if required.
Our goal is to ensure you leave with clarity, confidence, and a clear plan.
